Juan José Abella has degrees in Art, Modern and Contemporary History and teaching and lives in Barcelona.
 
 
The intensity of expression in his work reveals not only the soul of the people he draws and paints but also the objects.
 
 
His exhibitions have been shown in Florida, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Mallorca and Plasencia. Some of his paintings are in the Florida Museum of Hispanic and Latin American Art, the Olivar and Saint Ramon Monasteries in Spain, the Jesús, Maria y José Church in Barcelona, Europa International School in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Ágora School in Barcelona, as well as in private collections.
 
 
His drawings have been published by Art Reproduction Mollori and the Messeguer Editorial. He has also painted murals in several educational centres in Catalonia e.g. Ágora, Bernat el Ferrer and Can Peixauet.
